Beau-Rivage Palace Hotel brings new life to its gardens during the winter with Tubbo

A transparent enclosure allowing its guests to hold parties and events with views to the lake and the stars.

Located on the banks of Lake Geneva in Lausanne (Switzerland) and featuring breathtaking views to the Alps and the lake itself, the historic, luxury Beau-Rivage Palace Hotel owned by Grupo Sandoz has recently installed an over 16m long Tubbo enclosure with the purpose of offering different experiences to its guests during the winter, thus allowing them to indulge in its lake and mountain views during the day and gazing at the stars during the night. This transparent, tunnel shaped enclosure extending over an almost 50 sq. mt. surface is characterised by its elegant, highly resistant design, enabling guests to enjoy catering services outdoors in the gardens opposite the lake without compromising on comfort, and despite the harsh Swiss weather.
Beau-Rivage Palace Hotel has been a household name within the Swiss luxury accommodation industry since 1861. Among its most distinguished guests, it has accommodated members of the British royal family, Coco Chanel and, between 1888 and 1912, it was notoriously managed by none other than Jacques Tschumi himself, founder of Lausanne’s l’Ecole Hôtelière. Despite its traditional roots, the hotel remains loyal to its motto “la tradition en mouvement”, as evidenced by the wide range of exclusive experiences available to ensure that all guests enjoy a memorable stay every time. One of their latest innovations was the creation of an area with views that can be used throughout the year, regardless of the weather conditions.
This Tubbo area is currently being offered to brands and companies as a party and events venue. During the month of December, the champagne firm Ruinart is due to offer apperitifs, lunches and dinners featuring its products at this exquisite location.
Among the many reasons why the hotel has chosen Tubbo are its design conditions and transparency, its ability to adapt to any surroundings, including this grand Belle Epoque style building, as well as the comfort provided to guests while they enjoy the views at any moment. In addition to its technical features, since it requires no construction works or floor attachments, meaning that it can be removed from the gardens at any time without leaving any long lasting traces.
